Results<\/h3>\n

Resveratrol significantly inhibited MERS-CoV infection and prolonged cellular survival after virus infection. We also found that the expression of nucleocapsid (N) protein essential for MERS-CoV replication was decreased after resveratrol treatment. Furthermore, resveratrol down-regulated the apoptosis induced by MERS-CoV in vitro<\/i>. By consecutive administration of resveratrol, we were able to reduce the concentration of resveratrol while achieving inhibitory effectiveness against MERS-CoV.<\/p>\n

\u7ed3\u679c\uff1a\u767d\u85dc\u82a6\u9187\u53ef\u663e\u8457\u6291\u5236\u75c5\u6bd2\u611f\u67d3\u540e\u7684MERS-CoV\u611f\u67d3\u5e76\u5ef6\u957f\u7ec6\u80de\u5b58\u6d3b\u65f6\u95f4\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u8fd8\u53d1\u73b0\uff0c\u767d\u85dc\u82a6\u9187\u6cbb\u7597\u540e\uff0cMERS-CoV\u590d\u5236\u6240\u5fc5\u9700\u7684\u6838\u8863\u58f3\uff08N\uff09\u86cb\u767d\u7684\u8868\u8fbe\u964d\u4f4e\u3002\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u767d\u85dc\u82a6\u9187\u5728\u4f53\u5916\u4e0b\u8c03\u4e86MERS-CoV\u8bf1\u5bfc\u7684\u7ec6\u80de\u51cb\u4ea1\u3002\u901a\u8fc7\u8fde\u7eed\u65bd\u7528\u767d\u85dc\u82a6\u9187\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u80fd\u591f\u964d\u4f4e\u767d\u85dc\u82a6\u9187\u7684\u6d53\u5ea6\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u8fbe\u5230\u9488\u5bf9MERS-CoV\u7684\u6291\u5236\u6548\u679c\u3002<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h3>\n

In this study, we first demonstrated that resveratrol is a potent anti-MERS agent in vitro<\/i>. We perceive that resveratrol can be a potential antiviral agent against MERS-CoV infection in the near future.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h4>\n

Resveratrol has shown a high antiviral potential that can be explored in both human and animal viral infections. Its main antiviral mechanisms were seen to be elicited through inhibition of viral protein synthesis, inhibition of various transcription and signaling pathways, and inhibition of viral related gene expressions. Even though there are still limitations on its bioavailability following intake, which is being widely studied, more studies should be focused on its direct use in the amelioration of viral infections in humans and companion animals.<\/p>\n
